This unique 90 minute tour includes a guided walk with Bruce Bell through Toronto's famed St Lawrence Market hearing about its fascinating 200 year history. Then after covering the Market we’ll go walk around Old Town Toronto including stops at: St Lawrence Hall, King Edward Hotel (when available), St. James Cathedral as well as various historical sites along the way. This tour is $25 per person. The price for groups of 10 or more is $20 per person. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the tour at the Souvenir Market just inside main entrance of St. Lawrence Market. For more info on the meeting place plus map and photo, just scroll down. The tour lasts about 90 mins and is not alot of walking
St Lawrence Market is located at 91 Front Street East on the southwest corner of Jarvis and Front Streets, two blocks east of Yonge Street and is wheelchair accessible.
NOTE St. Lawrence Market is CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays

MEETING PLACE: As soon as you enter the main Front Street centre archway of South St Lawrence Market (see photo directly below) there is a Souvenir Shop on the left hand side where you can buy your tickets. Learn of the fascinating history (the site dates back to 1832) of this incredible factory complex with its original cobblestone pathways including the years it was visited by 1920’s gangsters during the heyday of Prohibition. The tour ends with a walk through Corktown, now a highly sought after residential and business district of Toronto it was once the great Irish slum of 19th Century Toronto when thousands of starving Irish refugees escaping the horrors of the famine back in Ireland came to our shores looking for a better way of life.
The Distillery tour usually runs on Saturdays at 10am however other times can be arranged
MEETING PLACE- The meeting place for the Distillery Tour is St Lawrence Market (see above) then we walk the few short blocks to the Distillery. It's a fascinating walk through the former Consumers' Gas Works complex and the First Parliament Site, as well as other historic sites along the way. The tour will end at the Distillery where there are many fine restaurants to have lunch or you can walk back to St Lawrence Market

Cancelation Policy: In most cases I do not require a deposit however if a deposit is required and you cancel the tour 48 hours before the agreed time and date you will (in most cases) receive 75% of your deposit returned. However, if you cancel the tour after the 48 hour notice (i.e. same day cancelation) no refund will be returned, but you will receive a credit note for another time or gift certificate. All cancelations MUST be done over the phone or be acknowledged by me by email.
