Bruce Bell School Tours
Bruce Bell Tours offers educational tours including St Lawrence Market/Old Town Toronto and Distillery District
Tours can also be designed to fit the curriculum of your class, whether it's early Canadian history, First Nations history, 19th century life, the Industrial Revolution, the rise of the 20th century, the history of architecture or how government works
All areas of study can be accommodated
This year being the bicentennial of the War of 1812 we will also focus on the war itself and how it affected the people of Toronto (then called York) as St Lawrence Market and the surrounding area were occupied by American forces during that war
We also tell students what is was like to be a child in 19th century Canada, of how it wasn't uncommon to have 12 year old children working in factories and how the present day school system came into being
Over the years Bruce Bell tours has provided school tours from grades 1 to 12 and school groups as large as 300 as well as small class sizes
$8 per student if your class or classes is 40 or more
$12 per student if your class is between 20 &40 students
$15 per student if your class size is less than 20 students
No charge for teachers or any helpers you may bring in
With large multi-classes other guides are brought in and we break large classes into smaller study groups
Tours are year round, and can start as early as 9 am
and last about 90 mins
Longer tours can be made available at an extra cost

NOTE: On the day of the tour teachers will have to sign a waiver exonerating Bruce Bell and Bruce Bell Tours from any liability that may occur during the tour. However Bruce Bell Tours will do everything possible to make sure the students are safe including crossing streets only when the light is green
